    Place seasonal clothes in boxes

Unless you¡Çre going to the Alps for a bit of skiing, or you¡Çre going to Australia during its winter season, there is absolutely no reason for any of us to have our winter clothes taking up valuable closet space, in summer.

The same applies for the winter season. When was the last time you wore thin tee shirts or those comfortable shorts, during winter? Never? So what are they still doing in your closet? Put them away, they¡Çre no use to you for the moment.

There are a few ways to accomplish this task of sorting out your seasonal clothes, but in all instances I would recommend first laundering the clothes first so that you don¡Çt end up with a mildewed mess.

Besides which, if you store them properly they will stand the test of time and you should be able to take them out again and wear them with no problems.

This is what I used to do, and to a great extent what I still do. The only difference now is that I only store essential items like heavy winter coats, and clothes that I absolutely must have. All of the rest, I give to charity.

Why? Because when was the last time that you could bring yourself to wear last year¡Çs clothes when all of this year¡Çs fashions are so much more enticing and appealing to the senses.

Obviously things like tee shirts and jeans are things that will stand the test of time for a few years. And if you think that it can last longer than that, let me bring to your memory the fad of bell bottoms. Yes they came back into fashion again, but only after a few gazillion years had passed by.

This way, I feel good, other people have the ability to buy their summer clothes at discounted prices if they want, and I also end up with more space in my otherwise filled to brimming house.

But if you are a pack rat and just can¡Çt bring yourself to part with those bell bottoms just yet, you really need to put your clothes away. Use boxes, use expandable closets, use anything you like, just put them away until you need it again.

Oh, and make sure the moths and silverfish can¡Çt get to them either, because then the whole point of storing your clothes, goes out the window.
